Augmented Reality (abbreviated as AR) is a environment that has both of virtual reality (Computerized) and real world stuff. An example of AR is the yellow line that is seen in TV programs of football games that is drawn over the real life image by computers in time with the real life image as seen in these pictures.

Another perfect example would be google glasses. You can use the google glasses to explain augmented reality. You could measure something with google glasses, you can receive calls from people and you would be able to see it in the corner of your eye.
